Pro Staff Kayak Fishing Team

william ragulskyWilliam Ragulsky - Virginia
From my days fishing for Trout with my father back in Colorado, I have been hooked on fishing. Growing up, I fished throughout the Rockies on a canoe and a SiNK. My hobbies include Fishing, Kayaking, and . . . um . . . Kayak Fishing. I have been fishing from a kayak on the East Coast since 2008, pursuing Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Striped Bass, and Sheepshead. I fish a number of Tournaments each year throughout Virginia and North Carolina. My most notable tournament finishes include a Kayak Division Champion (2nd Overall) in the 2010 Poquoson, VA Fall Festival, and a Speckled Trout division win at the 2011 TJM Charity Tournament. In 2014, you can find me at coastal events in SE Virginia, the costal NCKFA tourney trail, and the IFA Atlantic Division events.

In 2011 and 2012, I was elected by my peers as the Vice President of the Tidewater Kayak Anglers Association. I have coordinated local charity events, a club tournament series, and advised boat clubs on the inclusion of kayaks in their local tournaments and events. I am actively involved in the annual TKAA Kayak Fish for Charity tournaments, which in 2011 was the third largest kayak william cobiafishing tournament in the world behind the Jax and Jamaica Bay events. I am a Marine Corps Combat Veteran and an active volunteer and supporter of Heroes on the Water.

I primarily fish the Skimmer 140 due to its lightweight, speed, stability, and most importantly LOOKS! The 140 is perfect for my home waters of the lower Chesapeake Bay, but is also comfortable in the backwaters and swamps far inland. If you see me on the water, stop and say hello. Until then, Tight Lines!

John K. Lee - Florida

Hurricane BIOJohn K. Lee has been kayak fishing since 2003 in beautiful Sarasota Florida and fishes regularly from Fort Myers to north Tampa Bay. He was introduced to fishing while growing up in the panhandle.  John enjoys fishing the shallow flats of Southwest Florida for Redfish, Snook and Sea Trout with the favorite being tailing Reds.  In the summer time, when not fishing from a kayak, John can be found sight casting for Snook at Casey Key.

In 2005 John entered his first kayak tournament and won the 1st place Trout division.  Since that time, he has been fishing tournament throughout Florida and has racked up an impressive record on the kayak fishing circuit.

Missy Clark - Outer Banks, NC

hurricane bio1Missy Clark was born and raised on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She grew up fishing the in-shore and off-shore waters of the coastal outer banks with her Dad and grandfathers. In 1983, she began charter boat fishing as a mate on a half day charter boat and eventually became a USCG licensed Captain in 1991 and owner/operator of Finatic Charters - a 42’ Sportsman.

After years of fishing big boats and big water Missy looked for a new challenge and found it in kayak fishing. Her strong family fishing tradition and her love of kayaking led to the creation of Finatic Kayak Charters, which offers kayak fishing tours to experienced and first time anglers. In 2013 Missy and Finatic Kayak sponsored the First Annual Finatic Kayak Fishing Tournament benefiting The OBX Project (Project Purple). Missy’s passion and love for the sport of kayak fishing is contagious. Her goal is to promote this great sport and increase its exposure on the Outer Banks.

Greg Sterley - Texas

Greg is an active duty Army Officer and AH-64D Apache Pilot. He started kayak fishing in the summer of 2011 with his father at his home away from home in Destin, Florida as a cheap way to get on the bay and out into the Gulf of Mexico. Greg loved kayak fishing so much that he soon forgot about buying a motor boat and has since owned numerous kayaks. Whenever he is not out fishing at his current duty station you can catch him working on his cars or enjoying the outdoors with his wife, daughter and two dogs.  greg sterley
